Delta SUBEB declares vacancies for teaching, non-teaching staff

Delta State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, has declared vacancies for qualified individuals to fill vacant positions for teaching and non-teaching positions in 22 local government areas of the state.

A statement signed by the Permanent Secretary,  Delta SUBEB, Mr Byron Unini, urged qualified individuals who desire to teach or work in primary schools to submit their application letters at their respective local government areas of origin with relevant documents, including functional GSM numbers and email address.

While stating that applicants should not be more than 40 years of age, Unini disclosed that the closing date for registration is August 31, 2023.

DELTA STATE UNIVERSAL BASIC EDUCATION BOARD, ASABA, DELTA STATE.

V A C A N C I E S

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for appointment to fill the following existing vacancies in 22 Local Government Education Authorities of the State:

Non-Teaching Staff, SGL 08

Teaching Staff (Headmaster III, SGL 07)

The Local Government Areas are: – Aniocha North, Aniocha South, Bomadi, Burutu, Ika North East, Ika South, Isoko North, Ndokwa East, Ndokwa West, Okpe, Oshimili North, Oshimili South, Patani, Sapele, Udu, Ughelli North, Ughelli South, Ukwuani, Uvwie, Warri North, Warri South and Warri South West.

2. Qualifications: All eligible candidates applying for any of the above-mentioned posts must be Deltans who should possess requisite qualifications for the posts as stated below:

Academic qualifications including First School Leaving Certificate, Senior School Certificate (WASC and/or NECO) and First Degree or HND in Education, Social Sciences/Management Science and Arts from a recognized tertiary institution for Non-teaching staff only;

Academic qualifications including First School Leaving Certificate; Senior School Certificate (WASC and/or NECO) and NCE in the following subject areas:

Primary Education Studies (PES), Early Childhood Care, Development and Education (ECCDE), English Language, Mathematics, Social Studies, Historical Studies, Basic Science/Integrated Science, Computer Studies, Basic Technology/Technical Education, Physical & Health Education, Religion (CRS/IRS), Civic Education/Political Science/Government, Creative and Cultural Arts (Music, Visual, Creative, Fine and Applied Arts, Special Education, Home Economics, Agricultural Science, French Language and Local Languages (Enuani, Ika, Isoko, Itsekiri, Izon, Okpe, Ukwuani, Urhobo and Uvwie) as applicable in the concerned LGAs for Teaching staff only;

Age – should not be above 40 (by the last day of September, 2023);

Local Government of Origin should be stated and authenticated with an Identification Certificate;

For graduates seeking non-teaching positions, there should be evidence of NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion certificate and not letter;

Registration with Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) is an added advantage;

Successful applicants would be required to serve in rural areas within their LGAs for a minimum of five (5) years; and

National ID Card/NIN No.

3. Method of Application

All interested applicants are required to submit their applications at their Local Government Areas of origin with relevant documents including functional GSM number and email address.

4. Closing Date:

All applications should be submitted not later than Thursday, 31st August, 2023.
