Delta Speaker Guwor Felicitates Ex-Governor Okowa at 66

The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has congratulated the immediate past Governor of the state, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa on his natal anniversary.

Rt Hon Guwor described Dr Okowa as an exceptional leader whose eight-year tenure as Governor of Delta State witnessed lots of transformation and growth in the state.

The Speaker’s message to the Ika-born politician and celebrant is contained in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, CPS Nkem Nwaeke and made available to newsmen in the state.

Rt Hon Guwor said the leadership and vision of Dr Okowa during his tenure as Governor laid a solid foundation for growth and progress in Delta State.

He acknowledged his dedication, wisdom, and selfless service to the people and efforts at achieving political stability in the state.

The Speaker on behalf of his immediate family, the good people of Warri South West Constituency and the entire Delta State Legislature, felicitated with Dr Okowa and prayed for more blissful years to come.

“He said, “On this day, 8th July 2025, I, on behalf of my family, constituents, associates and the Delta State House of Assembly, celebrate a visionary leader and an outstanding statesman, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyichukwu Arthur Okowa, immediate past Governor of Delta State, as he turns 66 years old.

I join millions of other well-wishers to celebrate his life, achievements, and contributions to the nation’s development.
