With the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) set to kick off this weekend, the Delta State Sports Commission has officially unveiled the Delta Queens squad for the 2025/2026 season.
The presentation, held in Asaba, was led by the Commission’s Executive Chairman, Hon. Onoriode Oborevwori, who expressed confidence in the team’s readiness for the new campaign.
He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to supporting the club and strengthening women’s football development across Delta State.
Hon. Oborevwori described Delta Queens as a “symbol of pride, resilience, and excellence,” noting that their successes continue to motivate young female athletes across the state.
Delta Queens will open their 2025/2026 NWFL campaign on November 26 with an away match against Nasarawa Amazons, marking the beginning of what is expected to be a highly competitive season.
