Delta Mandate, a foremost political pressure group under the defunct Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, has collapsed into the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

In an enlarged meeting on Thursday hosted by Chief Edwin Uzor, Special Adviser to the Governor of Delta State on Peace and Security at his Asaba Residence, the foremost Pressure Group, Delta Mandate, that have been formidable with structures across the 25 local government and Wards of the State, fully declared to align with the APC as her political party.

Addressing the group, the National President, Hon Isaac Anwuzia, stated in his opening speech that from inception, the group has always been 100% loyal to the Governor of the State and has at all times followed the directive of the Governor, who is the leader of the State.

“As a Group, we have always remained loyal to our leader, the Governor, and this won’t be any different”

“And because His Excellency the Governor has said that this is the direction where Sheriff goes, we go.”

This was unanimously adopted by all members present, and thus, the Group finally becomes an APC political pressure group.

Members were also admonished to be guided and ensure the victory of the Governor and the APC in the coming elections.

The leadership of the group further directed all Local Government Area Coordinators to go back home and inform their various LGA and Ward members of the decision taken to join APC and to begin mobilisation ahead of an enlarged Mega Rally of the Delta Mandate coming up in the three Senatorial Districts soon.

Present in the Meeting were: The National President of Delta Mandate, Hon Isaac Anwuzia and Exco Members, National Adviser, Chief Patrick Ukah, Former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Ndudi Elumelu, Deputy Speaker, Delta State, Rt Hon Arthur Akpowowo, Pioneer Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Okoro, Hon Ferguson Onwo and Hon Charles Emetulu.
