Hon Peter Uviejitobor, representing Udu Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, has presented two cars to two of his constituents.

The gesture by the lawmaker is in keeping with his electioneering campaign promises.

The two beneficiaries of the Toyota Sienna Utility vehicles were leaders of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in the constituency.

They are the PDP Chairman, Ward 4, Mr Alfred Yeta and the PDP Chairman, Ward 9, Mr Efete Okolosi, in Udu Local Government Area.

Presenting the keys and documents of the two vehicles to the beneficiaries, Hon Uviejitobor disclosed that the promises were made during his grassroots campaign for the 2019 governorship and House of Assembly elections.

The lawmaker said he had promised that in the two elections, the Chairmen of wards that gave Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and himself the highest number of votes cast will get car gifts.

“We are here witnessing that campaign promises to the glory of God and benefit of mankind. Being a true representative of my people, I can never renege in adding value to their lives as promised during my campaigns. No matter the challenges which are not peculiar to Udu, we will continue to improve on our performances, changing the narratives from negative to positive. Governor Okowa has done very well. My modest achievements that cut across all sectors, also speak volumes. With the support of critical stakeholders, the constituency will continue to witness more landmarks in infrastructure and human capital development,” Uviejitobor stated.

Continuing, the lawmaker explained that “In the 2019 governorship contest, Ward 4 gave Governor Okowa the highest votes, while for the House of Assembly, Ward 9 gave me the highest votes. So I am fulfilling the promises made, hence the presentation of these two vehicles to the PDP Chairman of both wards. It is a way of encouraging hard work and greater commitment to achieving results”.

Hon Uviejitobor who is the Chairman, House Committee on Water Resources Development, urged the beneficiaries for the donated vehicles, stressing his resolve to continue to provide quality representation to the people.

Hon Uviejitobor, flanked by the leadership of the party in the area, called for sustained support, understanding and cooperation of constituents to the Okowa’s led administration in the state.

The PDP Chairman Udu local government area, Hon David Siloko, who broke the news of the presentation of the vehicles during an enlarged meeting of PDP faithful in the areas, commended Hon Uviejitobor for putting smiles on the faces of others.

The beneficiaries, Mr Alfred Yeta and Efete Okolosi, in Udu local government area, described Hon Uviejitobor as a promise keeper, saying that his kind is rare in present-day politics.

While praying for God to bless him more, the party stalwarts assured the Lawmaker of more support and mobilization for the PDP in the localities.

Others who spoke also commended Hon Uviejitobor for not just making the promises but fulfilling them, saying that his humility and integrity will continue to pave the way for greater heights for him.
