The environmental sanitation for the month of May in Delta State has been cancelled.
A statement by the state Director of Public Communication, Theresa Adiabua Oliko, “The cancellation is due to the celebration of Children’s Day (May 27) on the same day and the ongoing Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE).
“Residents are, however, encouraged to cut overgrown weeds, desilt drainages and keep their environment clean to prevent the spread of diseases.
“It is pertinent to state that it is the responsibility of every resident to clean 20-metre radius of their premises.”
