The Delta State Government has extended the deadline for applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Information and Communication Technology-Youth Empowerment Programme (ICT-YEP).

The training programme which is, for now, open to only candidates of Delta State origin is expected to run for four months at the Delta State Innovation Hub, Asaba, under the State Ministry of Science and Technology.

A statement by the state Commissioner for Science and Technology, Matthew Tsekiri, an engineer, says the application portal which was scheduled to close on Friday, February 21, 2021, at 12 midnight has been extended to Monday, March 1, 2021.

The statement advised interested applicants to visit the website www.deltastateihub.com to apply for only one course after carefully reading the guidelines and eligibility criteria.

According to the statement, only shortlisted candidates who are successful at the Computer-Based Test (CBT) and oral interview would be admitted into the Information and Communication Technology-Youth Empowerment Programme (ICT-YEP).

For further inquiries, interested applicants are advised to call 09042223339.
