As the race for who becomes the next governor of Delta State in 2023 hots up, the Coordinator of Augoye Foundation, Comrade Harrison Elerubo has averred that the governorship ambition of Chief James Augoye is God’s project.

Speaking with newsmen at Orerokpe, headquarters of Okpe Local Government Area recently, Comrade Elerubo described ChiefAugoye as a diligent and visionary leader whose wealth of experience will help to catapult the state to greater heights, if elected as the next governor of the state.

While appealing to the people of Delta South and Delta North to allow Delta Central to produce the next Governor of the state, Comrade Elerubo opined that since Ughelli/Udu and Ethiope Federal Constituencies have produced governors before, the Okpe people in Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie Federal Constituency popularly known as “OSU” should be given the chance this time around to produce the successor of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

He expressed optimism that with God, Chief James Augoye would scale the hurdles to emerge victorious as governor in 2023.

Comrade Elerubo used the medium to appeal to PDP leaders in the state and Deltans, in general, to support the guber aspiration of Chief James Augoye, noting that if he scales through, he (Augoye) would embark on policies and programmes targeted at impacting positively on the lives of the people.

He said the Foundation is working assiduously to mobilise support for Chief James Augoye, who is the immediate past commissioner for works in the state.
