Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has congratulated His Royal Majesty, Albert Akpomudje, SAN, FCIArb, on his historic coronation as the 14th Owhorode of Olomu Kingdom, describing the moment as one of “immense joy and deep pride.”
In a goodwill message on Friday, Senator Dafinone said the monarch’s ascension—coinciding with his 71st birthday—was a rare and divinely orchestrated moment for the Olomu people.
He praised the new Owhorode’s illustrious legal career, noting that Akpomudje’s reputation as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators reflects “integrity, discipline, and excellence” that will enrich his reign.
“Your Majesty has long been a bridge-builder, a voice of reason, and a beacon of selfless service,” Dafinone said. “Your unwavering advocacy for Urhobo unity and progress assures us that your reign will usher in renewed harmony, purposeful development, and pride for the Olomu Kingdom.”
The senator expressed confidence that the monarch’s experience in community leadership will translate into a peaceful and prosperous reign that strengthens the collective aspirations of both the Olomu people and the wider Urhobo Nation.
As the new Owhorode celebrates his 71st birthday, Dafinone offered prayers for continued divine wisdom, good health, and long life.
