Eagle net special squad of the Delta State Police Command has arrested one Mrs Victoria Itila for allegedly concealing six locally made double barrel guns with umbrella.
The woman according to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bright Edafe, the guns were discovered by the squad while on stop and search duty on the Sapele/Benin Expressway and intercepted a Toyota Hiace Bus with reg no OLG 13 EFR.
Edafe said when the passengers were subjected to a search the six locally made double barrel guns were found concealed with umbrella belonging to Mrs. Victoria Itila.
In another development, the Command has arrested 80-year-old Omoraka James in Kokori, Ethiope East Local Government Area of the state with 114 rounds of live cartridges.
The live cartridges were recovered from the suspect when the Command Raider’s Unit, raided his premises on the strength of information received that he deals in cartridges and sells to hoodlums which they use in carrying out various nefarious activities.
