Two members of a kidnapping and armed robbery gang allegedly terrorizing Warri, Ekpan and their environs in Delta State have been killed in their hideout by police operatives.

The deceased suspects met their waterloo at their hideout in Ohorhe community along Sapele/Effurun/Sapele road of Delta State on Monday, March 13, 2023, through credible intelligence gathered and acted on by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ekpan Police station, CSP Rimamchirika Musa Bulus.

A member of the gang according to a statement by the spokesperson for the Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe “was lured by a Police operative into believing that he was discussing with a proposed buyer for one of the suspected stolen vehicles in their possession.

“The suspect not knowing what was coming, led the Police to their hideout at Ohorhe community along Sapele Effurun. Upon arrival at the hideout, the suspects on sighting and noticing that they had been rounded by the Police engaged them in a serious gun duel. In the ensuing gun duel, two of the suspects were fatally wounded while others escaped.
