The Delta State Police Command says it has arrested one Richard Tobi of Obibo Port-Harcourt in Rivers State, who specialises in snatching vehicles.
The suspect according to the Command’s spokesperson, DSP Bright Edafe, was arrested on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, by operatives of ‘A’ Division Warri when was seen around the area with a view to bringing to book.
“Upon technical intelligence-led investigation, the suspect was trailed to Mammy market Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area, where he was arrested and different vehicle plate numbers were instantly recovered from him.
“Upon further investigation, the suspect led operatives to his base where one Toyota Hilux with Reg. No. UYY 210 GT suspected to have been stolen at Akwa-Ibom was recovered. The suspect has been charged to court and remanded in prison custody,” said the police statement.
