The Court of Appeal sitting in Akure, the Ondo State capital is expected tomorrow Friday, December 3, to deliver the appeal sought by the founder of Sotitobire Praising Chapel, Prophet Babatunde Alfa.

Mr Alfa had appealed the Ondo State High Court judgment of October 6, 2020, which sentenced him and five other members of his church to life imprisonment for the mysterious disappearance of a toddler, Gold Kolawole.

The members of his church found guilty were identified as Omodara Olayinka, Margaret Oyebola, Grace Ogunjobi, Motunrayo Egunjobi, Esther Kayode and Peter Anjorin.

Prophet Alfa was accused by the parents of the missing child of being responsible for the disappearance of their son.

The Ondo State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Charles Titiloye confirmed the development to The Precision NG in Akure.
