The Delta State Police Command has confirmed that the owner of the abandoned vehicle where the decomposing bodies of two children were found at Abraka, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State is in their custody.
NewsNet gathered that the two children identified as Fega and Kelvin, aged seven and nine years respectively were found on Friday decomposing at the back seat of the abandoned vehicle on Okpoghoro Street, Abraka.
Speaking exclusively on Saturday morning to NewsNet on the phone, the Acting Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Edafe Bright, confirmed the detention of the owner of the vehicle simply identified as Pastor Tayo.
“It was in an abandoned vehicle actually in front of the pastor’s compound. The owner of the vehicle is a pastor.
“The pastor reported yesterday(Friday) at the police station, his statement taken and he was detained,” said the Police image-maker.
Meanwhile, it was learnt that the remains of the two children have been buried at Abraka.
