The Delta State Police Command has banned the indiscriminate and unauthorised use of siren and vehicles with tinted glasses.

The Command on Thursday in a statement by its spokesperson, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, also ban the covering of vehicle plate numbers, illegal SPY plate numbers, revolving light by unauthorised persons and use of government plate numbers for private and unauthorised vehicles in line with existing laws.

Consequently, officers of the Command have been given a matching order to stop and thoroughly check these vehicles and impound any of them that violates these laws.

The Command, therefore, advised those operating vehicles with factory fitted tinted glasses with a permit for a good cause to show proof.

It further solicited the understanding of the public as the decision was occasioned by the prevailing security situation in the state and the country at large.
