Peter Maison, the outgoing President-General of Unenurhie Community Development Union, UCDU, in Evwreni Kingdom of Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State, has been arraigned before a Magistrate Court in Ughelli Magistrate District for an alleged threat to Mr. Felix Amos Ekah’s life.
Ekah was a one-time president of the Lagos State branch of the Unenurhie Community Development Union.
Peter Maison, 63, was arraigned in court on Monday, March 24, 2025, alongside Imoni Shedrack, 43, and others at large in a case, which the Commissioner of Police is the prosecutor.
The case charge sheet reads, “That you, Peter Maison ‘m’, Imoni Shedrack ‘m’, and others now at large, on or about the 27th day of February, 2025, at Unenurhie, in the Ughelli magisterial district, did conspire among yourselves against one Mr. Felix Amos Ekah ‘m’ to commit misdemeanour to wit: Conduct likely to cause breach of peace, and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 517 of the Criminal Code Cap C21 Vol. 1 Laws of Delta State of Nigeria, 2006.
“That you, Peter Maison ‘m’ sometimes on 22nd day of February, 2025, at Unenurhie in the Ughelli magisterial district, did with intent to intimidate, sent a threat voice phone call to one Mr. Felix Amos Ekah ‘m’, and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 86 (1) of the Criminal Code Cap C21 Vol. 1 Laws of Delta State of Nigeria, 2006.”
The case has been adjourned to April 8, 2025, for hearing after granting bail to Maison and Imoni.
