Oluwayomi Temitope who was arrested at a popular hotel in Ijoka, Akure, the Ondo State capital for cyberstalking and blackmailing of Miss Olajumoke (surname withheld), was on Wednesday paraded by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
Narrating the incident, the Public Relations Officer (PRO), NSCDC Ondo Command, Aidamenbor Daniel, disclosed in a statement that the complainant met the suspect online and they hooked up at a hotel in Ijoka where they both engaged in sexual act for a fee.
“When Olajumoke asked for her payment, the suspect showed her the recorded video of their act and threatened to upload same on social media.
“Using the recording with him, Oluwayomi Temitope kept asking for the service of Olajumoke and when she could not take it further, she reported to the command.
“A sting operation was carried out where the lady was asked to honour the suspect invitation at the hotel whenever he demanded her again.
“The suspect was arrested and he has since made confessional statement with the presentation of the recorded video as exhibit.
“He will be charged to court to serve as deterrent to others who are in the habit of cyberstalking and blackmailing,” the statement noted.
