Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, who was quizzed on Monday by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged money laundering is yet to be freed.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that as of Tuesday morning Cubana was still being held at the Abuja headquarters of the commission.

The searchlight beamed on the socialite and businessman in July 2021, when he held a lavished burial for his mother in Oba, Anambra State.

Over 200 cows were reportedly killed and money in different currencies affluently doled out particularly by his close associates.
