A 35-year-old man, Mr Jude Nduka, who allegedly raped two sisters in Delta State has been arrested by the police.
The two sisters (names withheld) aged 16 and 13 respectively were defiled by Nduka of No. 10 Obi Onuwe Street, Behind Kowen Plaza, Asaba the Delta State capital.
A statement by the Spokesperson of the Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe, said the victim who is 16 years is now pregnant.
According to the statement, the suspect was arrested on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, by the Command’s Eagle-net Special Squad, who received a complaint from one woman (name withheld) of Okpanam Road, Asaba.
“The detective swung into action and the suspect was arrested. Upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to having committed the crimes. Medical examinations on the said victims have been carried out. Suspect is currently in custody and will be charged to court on completion of investigation,” said the police statement,
Also, on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, the police in Sapele, Delta State arrested a notorious armed robber, Morrison Godwin, age 38yrs who has been terrorizing Sapele and its environs.
Godwin was arrested by a surveillance patrol team detailed by the DPO Sapele division which stormed his house in Ojolu area.
Recovered from the suspect who had been on the security watch list in the state were one locally made pistol and seven live cartridges.
