Just In: Unknown gunmen kill policeman, driver in Warri

A policeman has been shot dead by unknown gunmen in Warri, the commercial nerve centre of Delta state.

NewsNet understands that the gunmen also killed the driver of the vehicle the deceased police officer was in and abducted a young man who was the third occupant inside a red Venza.

The gunmen were said to have intercepted the victims at the Airport junction on the popular Effurun-Warri road, Effurun

Police arrest suspected killers of the father of four in Delta The sad incident said to have occurred at the Airport junction along Effurun-Warri road, Effurun Delta State.

When contacted the spokesman for the Delta State Police Command, Mr Bright Edafe confirmed the incident.

He, however, said nobody was abducted from the vehicle as speculated adding that the deceased policeman and the driver went on an errand leaving behind a woman who happens to their ‘principal’ in an undisclosed church.
