A pastor was Monday killed by yet-to-be-identified gunmen in Amai Community in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State.
It was gathered that the pastor was riding a motorcycle with his wife behind him when the gunmen fired at them.
A dependable source told NewsNet Nigeria that the brave wife who sustained bullet wounds was able to continue riding the motorcycle with her husband dead to get out of the danger zone.
The source who craved anonymity said yesterday Sunday one person a male was also killed around the axis of Amai Community by the unknown gunmen even when there is no existing communal conflict between Amai Community and her neighbours.
The gunmen it was further gathered struck last week killing two persons allegedly indigenes of Ogume Community.
A meat pie seller who hails from Calabar capital of Cross River State but resides in Obiaruku was also recently killed while going about his trade in the axis of Amai.
In a phone chat with NewsNet Nigeria, the spokesperson for the Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe confirmed the killing of the two persons saying the command is on top of the situation to unmask those behind the recent killings.
