Chief Shimite Love, the Special Adviser on Export and Trade Promotion to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is dead.
Love, a Chief of Ebu Kingdom in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, NewsNet Nigeria learned died in the early hours of Easter Monday.
Oasis Magazine reports that though the cause of her death and other details are still sketchy, sources have allegedly blamed her husband, said to be a pastor, for her death.
They further alleged that the suspect is presently in police custody over her demise.
Confirming the development, the spokesperson for the Delta State Police Command, SP Bright Edafe, in a terse message to this medium said the deceased husband is in protective custody.
A dependable source who craved anonymity told this medium that her husband was taken into protective custody because he called the police saying his wife had died in the hospital and her family was alleging he was responsible.
The family of Chief Shimite Love, it was gathered, has however lodged a formal complaint at the police station accusing her husband of having a hand in their daughter’s death.
She was a graduate of Political Science from the University of Ibadan, UI.
Meanwhile, according to SPADE NIGERIA, the University of Ibadan Alumni Association (UIAA), particularly the Asaba Chapter, is in deep mourning following her tragic and shocking death as she was one of the chapter’s most distinguished members.
