A traditional chief, Rose Akamu and two other suspects were on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, arraigned before the Ughelli Magistrate Court (Case No. MU/157C/2025) for allegedly stealing over 400 bags of cement from a storage facility in Ughelli North Local Government Area.

The suspects were granted bail in the sum of ₦1,050,000 each, with the requirement of a landed property owned in Ughelli as surety.

The case was adjourned to July 31, 2025.
