The Police Inspector who shot one Lucky (surname unknown) at Ekrerhavwe junction, Agbarho in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State is now cooling off in detention.

The erring police officer allegedly carried out the shooting on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, while on stop-and-search duty at the junction.

In a statement late Friday, the spokesperson for the Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe, said the detention of the affected police officer followed an order by the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Wale Abass “on receipt of the sad news, immediately ordered the arrest and detention of the errant police officer”.
