The Nation learnt that the victim was abducted Thursday evening, along the Eku-Abraka Road, while returning from an official assignment.

His abduction comes 11 days after his 63rd birthday as seen on his official Facebook timeline.

Sources posit that the kidnappers were yet to contact the family members of the victim, as of noontime, Friday.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Delta Police Command, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, confirmed the incident.

She stated that efforts were in top gear by operatives of the Command to rescue the labour leader unhurt.
