Confusion as Tinubu writes Feb. 9 instead of 6 during APC revalidation exercise

In what seems like an oversight, the former governor of Lagos state, Bola Tinubu on Saturday wrote February 9, 2021, as against February 6 as he filled his APC membership revalidation form in Ikeja, the state capital.

Tinubu who is largely referred to as the national leader of the party was accompanied by the Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, that of Osun, Gboyega Oyetola and other party faithful during the exercise.

The revalidation exercise of the party began earlier this week with President Muhammadu Buhari leading the pack after registering at his country home in Daura, Katsina state.

One of Tinubu’s loyalist in the South-West and former Osun state governor, Bisi Akande had criticised the revalidation exercise, saying it is absolutely unnecessary.

A social media commentator who is in the know about the development, however, observed that the Lagos revalidation exercise is billed for takeoff on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, adding that the Saturday’s exercise involving Tinubu was a mere ceremonial event.
