COMTOA begins collection of levies from motorcycle, tricycle riders in Delta Jan. 8

Delta State Government has approved the Commercial Motorcycle and Tricycle Operators Association (COMTOA), Delta State to organize, coordinate and supervise the activities of all commercial motorcycle and tricycle operators in the state.

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Kingsley Emu, in a statement, said COMTOA will commence the management and collection of levies from Motorcycle and Tricycle riders effective Monday, 8th January 2024.

The statement further added that COMTOA has also been authorized to enforce compliance with the Delta state colour for tricycles and to apprehend violators of the ban on motorcycle operators in the restricted areas of Asaba, Effurun and Warri.

In addition, motorcycle and tricycle riders are required to strictly adhere to the operating hours of 6am-8pm daily for motorcycles for the unrestricted areas and 6am-10pm for tricycle riders
