The election, also produced renowned print journalist, Victor Sorokwu as Secretary, Josephine Omordion as Assistant Secretary and Caroline Ubini, as emerging Treasurer.

The Warri South Local Government boss in a congratulatory message Thursday, October 19, asserted that journalists in Delta state, have echoed the imperative of placing competence above ethnoreligious sentiments, in the quest to build a better Nigeria.

Tidi, charged the Churchill Oyowe leadership, to carry all members of the union along, irrespective of the divide prior to the election and activate the media function of agenda setting and developmental journalism, saying it is time for everyone to contribute their quota towards the accelerated development of Delta state in particular and Nigeria as a whole.
