The Commissioner of Police in Delta state, CP Ari Muhammed Ali has continued to emphasize the need to have a healthy working relationship between the police and sister agencies in the state.

For this reason, CP Ali recently deemed it necessary to pay courtesy visits to sister agencies in the state.

The visits which started March 15, 2021, and ended on March 19, 2021, saw the CP visiting the office of the Director State Security Service, Delta state, Mr Ademola Adebiyi, that of the Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Delta Sector, Corps Commander, Uche Peter Wihioka, Nigeria Navy ship, Naval Base Warri and the Nigeria Airforce in Delta state.

During the CP’s tour, he expressed his desire for peaceful coexistence between the police and members of other sister agencies, as only a close partnership and cooperation will help curb the insecurity in the state.

All sister agencies visited by the CP appreciated the fact that the commissioner of police deem it fit to visit them, and also stressed the need to be on the same page with the police that is the lead agency when it comes to security in the state.

He also visited the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), ASABA, where critical issues were discussed.

The CP pleaded with the medical director FMC Asaba, Dr Victor A. Osiatuma to treat any patient with gunshot injuries even without police report, as it is important to save life first.

He said, “After saving a life, then the police can be informed for further action, but save life first.

At NNPC, DESOPADEC, DPR, Nigerian Port Authority, all in Warri, Delta state, the CP admonished them to continue to work with the police, and ensure that Delta state is safe for all.

Meanwhile, the Delta State Police Command under the leadership of CP Ari Muhammed Ali on Friday organised a send forth party for the two immediate past Commissioners of Police in the state, AIG Hafiz Inuwa, who is the current AIG Zone 13 Dunokofia-Ukpo Anambra state; and CP Adeleke Bode Adeyinka, the present CP Kebbi state, in recognition of their outstanding leadership and invaluable contributions while serving the state as commissioners of police.

CP Adeleke Adeyinka served in Delta state as the 18th commissioner of police from 6th of February 2019 to 2nd of January 2020 while AIG Hafiz M. Inuwa served in Delta state as the 19th commissioner of police from 2nd of January 2020 to 13th January 2021.
