The Director-General and Co-ordinator of the Teachers Professional Development Centre, Delta State, Dr Anthony Dibashi has admonished both Christians and non-Christians to always thank God for whatever he has done for them here on earth.
Dibashi was speaking during the thanksgiving service held at St. Charles’ Borromeo Catholic Church, Boji-Boji Owa, in appreciation to God for his appointment as the Director-General and Co-ordinator of Teachers Professional Development Centre by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
According to the Director-General, ” I saw it as a necessity to do the thanksgiving because God is always very pleased and willing to do more when we show appreciation”.
He also used the opportunity to thank the Governor for finding him worthy for the appointment, adding that he was surprised when he was called to collect his appointment letter as Director-General and Cor-ordinator of TPDC.
Teachers Professional Development Centre, TPDC is an institution established for training and re-training of teachers in both primary and secondary education across the state to enhance their productivity.
Dr Dibashi, who was in company of his family, friends and well-wishers described thanksgiving as a veritable tool for promotion.
The thanksgiving service was graced by prominent Deltans including the State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Chief Patrick Ukah, Prof. Andy Egwunyenga, Vice-Chancellor, Delta State University, Abraka, Hon. Princess Pat Ajudua, Chief Whip Delta State House of Assembly and DR Anthony Kifordu, Senior Lecturer DELSU, Asaba Campus.
