Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Reparations and Repatriation, has congratulated Muslims across the country on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud.
In a goodwill message issued in Abuja on Friday, Senator Nwoko described the celebration as significant, noting that it commemorates the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), who devoted his life to the service of Almighty Allah.
“The privilege granted us by Almighty Allah to witness another Maulud celebration must be greatly valued, as it provides an opportunity for the Muslim Ummah to reflect on Prophet Muhammad’s life of compassion, kindness, and selflessness,” he stated.
He added that the period also serves as a reminder to imbibe the great lessons of unity and togetherness in the Prophet’s teachings, which transcend boundaries and unite people across cultures and generations.
“As we commemorate this memorable day, may peace and social harmony be upon Nigeria and provide fulfilment to all. Happy Eid-el-Maulud as we savour the evergreen memories and impactful life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW),” Nwoko said.
