Moon sighted in Nigeria as Eid-il-Fitri holds Friday

There have been claims of sighting the moon in Yobe State in the North-West geo-political zone of Nigeria on Thursday evening.

A member of Nigeria’s moon Sighting committee, Jibrin Simwal made this known Thursday night via his Twitter handle.

Simwal wrote belew:

“I am currently not in Nigeria, but I just spoke with Sarkin Malamai Sokoto, and he confirmed that they had received some sighting claims from Yobe State. His Eminence will make an official announcement shortly inshaAllah.”
