Evwreni Clan Improvement Union (ECIU) in Delta State has facilitated with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori over his triumph at the Supreme Court.
The President General of ECIU, Prince Kenneth Ukpebitere in a statement described as very deserved the victory of Governor Oborevwori over three of his petitioners on Friday, January 19, 2024, at the nation’s apex court, noting that God had destined the governor who happens to be a notable in-law of Evwreni Kingdom.
Ukpebitere noted that the Governor has clearly demonstrated in the last seven months in the saddle that he was prepared for the state’s leadership as clearly evident in his six years as Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly.
The Evwreni Kingdom PG particularly commended Oborevwori for being a man of peace and one who keeps to promises, adding that the Governor exhibited these characteristics by ensuring that there was no government interference in the processes leading to his emergence as President General and his entire executive members.
He expressed the confidence of ECIU in the ability of the governor to deliver on his M.O.R.E. agenda in consolidating on the achievements of his predecessor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.
Ukpebitere in the statement said, “The good people of Evwreni Kingdom under my leadership, wish to congratulate their in-law, the Executive Governor of Delta on his victory at Supreme Court.
“Evwreni Kingdom was agog on Friday when the news of your victory broke out. As a governor in just few months you have done tremendously well despite the many Court cases which were capable of distracting you in office.
“Since you assumed office, you have initiated a lasting peace process in Evwreni Kingdom by ensuring that a free, fair, and peaceful president general election was conducted. We thank you so much!
“We are very hopeful you have a lot in stock for the Evwreni people and Delta state at large. We wish you good health of mind and body and the wisdom of Solomon to get the M.O.R.E agenda to all Deltans.”
