Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP Harrison Nwabuisi, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Sapele Main Police Station has bagged a Master’s Degree in Geography & Regional Planning from the Delta State University, Abraka.

Nwabuisi was among the graduates for the Delsu 16th convocation ceremony which was held at the postgraduate section of the university on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

Speaking on how he prepared his mind for his academic journey Nwabuisi popularly known by his first name Harrison said, “Firstly, I want to thank God Almighty for helping me to achieve this feat in the educational sector.

“I saw the need and importance to further my education and so I decided to do a Master’s Degree program in Geography and Regional Planning. It was challenging, but I pulled through.

“My pursuit to further my education was driven by my desire to enhance my skills and contribute more effectively to society. My objective is to better my life inside and outside service.

“I needed good knowledge to push forward in life and for me to be a role model for my children in terms of education.

“Education is a criterion to go up the ladder of life, I had to get more education to enable me to climb higher.

“I will utilize the knowledge and professionalism gained during the master’s degree program to serve my people very well.

“My educational Success story would not be complete without mentioning Professor Patrick Muoboghare and Professor Emmanuel Eyetimi Akporhonor, they both encouraged me to complete the program. Their kind words gave me courage and inspired me to finish.

“Seeing a Police Officer wanting to study further, they never for once discouraged me, instead they continued to encourage me and today, I have completed the program, I really do appreciate them.”

With his academic achievement, some observers particularly security stakeholders say CSP Harrison has set a precedent for younger officers to follow by furthering their education and still do their effectively.
