Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has called for the sustenance of “values of unity, resilience, and mutual respect” among the people of Delta State.
Dafinone made the call on Wednesday while congratulating Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the people of the state on the 34th anniversary of Delta’s creation.
“As a people, we must sustain the values of unity, resilience, and mutual respect that bind us together. By working collectively, we can build a stronger, more prosperous Delta State where opportunities abound for every citizen,” the senator said.
He described the anniversary as a moment of celebration and reflection on the state’s journey since its creation in 1991.
He noted that Delta has made significant progress in peace, unity, and development, while expressing optimism that “the best years are still ahead.”
The federal lawmaker commended Governor Oborevwori for his commitment to advancing the state through his Renewed Hope for More Agenda, urging Deltans to continue supporting the governor in delivering people-oriented programmes and projects.
He also extended warm felicitations to all Deltans at home and in the diaspora, calling for renewed commitment to justice, unity, peace, and sustainable development as the state marks another milestone.
