Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has described the Delta State representative on the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Rt. Hon. Monday Igbuya, as “a patriotic son of Delta State, a grassroots mobiliser, and an advocate of development in the Niger Delta.”
Dafinone made this known in a statement on Sunday while congratulating Igbuya on the occasion of his birth anniversary.
The Delta Central Senator commended Igbuya’s wealth of experience in public service, noting that “his contributions to legislative governance remain commendable and continue to inspire young leaders.”
He further stated: “On behalf of the good people of Delta Central Senatorial District, I, Senator Ede Dafinone, heartily felicitate Rt. Hon. Monday Igbuya, former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and current Delta State Representative on the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), on the occasion of his birthday.”
The federal lawmaker also highlighted Igbuya’s ongoing role at the NDDC, stressing that he has consistently brought vision and dedication to the commission’s efforts toward infrastructural growth and human capital development in the Niger Delta.
“On this special day, I pray for God’s abundant blessings upon his life. May he enjoy many more years in good health, greater wisdom, and renewed strength to continue his service to Delta State, the Niger Delta, and Nigeria,” Dafinone added.
