Chief James Augoye, a 2023 governorship aspirant in Delta State was on Saturday the delight of all at a rally of the Delta Political Vanguard (DPV) which was held at Agbor, headquarters of Ika South Local Government Area of the state.

DPV is the political machinery with which Governor Ifeanyi Okowa came to power in 2015, and has continued to be a great pillar of support for his administration that is two years and some months into the second tenure.

The rally which was held at the popular Government field situated by College Junction, Agbor, was meant to celebrate the new year 2022.

During the rally which had in attendance the National Chairman of the group, Evangelist Michael Diden aka Ejele, his deputy, Bashorun Askia Ogieh and the Director-General, Hon Ifeanyi Eboigbe, Chief Augoye attracted the most attention from the large crowd that thronged the venue.

The former Commissioner for Works alongside his supporters were warmly received by PDP faithful and various groups drawn from the three senatorial districts of the state.

Augoye while speaking with newsmen described Governor Okowa as a rare leader in all ramifications.

He said, “First, I thank God Almighty for making this DPV get together a huge success, and memorable. I also want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, the Executive Governor of the state, who has been able to prove His Leadership qualities, with all sense of humility by stabilizing the existing peace, unity and love for all Deltans here gathered.

“For us Deltans to be enjoying all the peaceful atmosphere, benefiting from the different employments, empowerment programmes and various infrastructural and socio-economics developments across the state, shows how rare and a true leader His Excellency, Senator Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa has been.

“It is our prayer to God Almighty to continue His grace and protection upon the leadership of our great party, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, His Excellency, Senator Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, our working state party Chairman, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso, together with all other stakeholders of our great party. As we proceed ahead of Delta 2023, victory is sure.

“I want to sincerely congratulate the leadership of the Delta Political Vanguard (DPV), led by the Director-General, Hon Ifeanyi Eboigbe, Hon Michael Diden, Chairman, Hon Victor Nwokolo, who spoke on behalf of the National Assembly, Hon Chief Mrs Nkem Okuofor and others for their courage and doggedness in organising this great Political group, DPV. I also applaud the get-together that has once again demonstrated how peaceful, united and stable we are in DPV.”
