The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the March 18, 2023, gubernatorial election in Delta State, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has been expelled from the party for alleged anti-party activities and other offences.

The expulsion letter sighted by NewsNet Nigeria was dated March 31, 2023, and signed by the Chairman, Ulebor Isaac, on behalf of the State Executive Committee (SEC) of the Delta APC and Secretary, Inana Michael, and 23 others.

The SEC of the party in the state unanimously resolved and adopted the expulsion of Omo-Agege as a member of the party in line with the recommendation of his Orogun Ward 2 Executive Committee via the Executive Committee of the Ughelli North Local Government Area chapter.

The issues brought against Omo-Agege by the Orogun Ward 2 Executive Committee are high handedness, misappropriation and siphoning of election funds, anti-party activities, callous religious and confraternity utterances, selfish and self-centredness, irresponsible and shameful activities of the DSP, causing disunity and disaffection among members of the party and with-hunting party leaders.
