Management of Covenant University in Ogun State on Thursday said it ready to prosecute the institution’s erstwhile lecturer, Dr Stephen Ukenna, who alleged to have raped a 17- year- old student of the university.
NewsNet gathered that Ukenna has been sacked following a recommendation by a panel set by the institution on the matter.
Registrar of the university, Dr Segun Omidiora, said the school has taken further measures to prevent the recurrence of such an incident.
Omidiora said a meeting was held with students directing them on what to do to prevent such act.
“It is the truth. We had meetings with all the students yesterday on how to prevent a recurrence of such dastardly act.
“We are willing to prosecute him by ourselves,” Omidiora stated.
