Some contestants who turned up for the auditioning gave their all in order to qualify for the next round of the music talent hunt competition.

Speaking shortly after the conclusion of the auditioning of the contestants, Chairman of DBS Song of the year season two, Mrs Isonguyo, said the overall winner will go home with the star prize of one million naira and a recording deal.

She admitted it was not easy short listing the contestants to fifty-three who qualified for the next round.

According to her, twenty contestants will be shortlisted for the semi-final stage from the fifty-three contestants who will perform in front of judges and their fans on September 9, 2021.

Mrs Isonguyo disclosed that the fate of the fifty-three contestants will be determined by the voting strength from their fans, their voices and other requirements.

With the auditioning stage of the DBS Song of the year season two concluded with fifty-three contestants making it to the next round, all lovers of the talent hunt show are looking forward to seeing who will clinch the star prize of one million naira with a recording deal.

The DBS Song of The Year is an annual musical talent hunt event packaged by the Management of Delta Broadcasting Service Warri, on behalf of the State government, as part of efforts to boost youth development in the area of music in the state.

It also aims to encourage the younger ones to engage in meaningful programmes and exercises rather than indulge in activities that are inimical to their progress in future.
